You can discount individual items or the subtotal by either a percentage value or dollar amount.

To discount an item, select it from the gridview and then press the 'item % disc' or 'item $ disc' button on the function pad. If the discount buttons are on the second page of the function pad, you will have to click back in order to use the number pad to type in the discount amount.

Discounting the subtotal figure works in the same way, except you'll be using the 'sbtl % disc' or 'sbtl $ disc' buttons' instead.

You also have the option of using the 'group $ disc' or 'group % disc' buttons. These two buttons do the same thing as the subtotal discounts, except on the receipt using these will say Group Discount.
