Doing a Simple Transaction

We've learned to use Onetouch Buttons and we know about the Function Pad. There's just one last element of the Start Sale screen left: the Gridview, which can be seen below.

The Gridview displays basic information about the current transaction:

Do keep in mind that you can click on items in the Gridview to select them. For example, to delete a particular item or to apply a price change to it, just select it and then activate the relevant function from the Function Pad.

To put the Cola Can into the transaction, just press the corresponding Onetouch button. To proceed to the payment page, press the enter button on the Function Pad:

The outstanding amount is shown in red.

If at any time you need to go back to the previous page and amend the items in the transaction, just press the Back button in the lower right hand corner.

Let's say, that in this case the customer is wanting to pay by credit card. You would need to double click on the credit card payment method to transfer the outstanding amount there.

But wait! The customer has changed their mind, and now they want to pay by giving you the exact amount in cash. You will need to clear the amount we just put on credit card. To clear, select it by clicking on it once (if it wasn't already selected) and pressing the clear button highlighted with an arrow.

Credit card should now be back to 0. We now want to select the Cash option instead, and we do this in the same way as before: double click on it.

Once we're ready to finalize the transaction, press the enter button one more time. Now the cash drawer will open, and the receipt will print out - the transaction is finished.
