To get started, enter the Setup Page and then go into View Reports:
As soon as we press View Reports, we will be taken to the Reports page, where the basic Sales Report will automatically be loaded in for us to look at. By default, we're looking at sales data for today:
Before we get into specifying a different timeframe, let's break down what this report is telling us.
The left hand side contains tabular data, and the right hand side displays the same information in graph form. The graph breaks down the amounts we have processed by different payment methods.
The left hand side first lists the payment methods we've used for this period, how many times we've used them, and the total amount that has been processed with that particular payment method.
The Total line tallies the above data up.
Avg per tran displays the overall average amount per transaction.
Less cash out display how much cash we've given out as part of the cash out function.
Cash to bank displays the total amount of cash we've taken, minus the cash out.
Now we're ready to customize the timeframe. Cashcow! POS has several timeframes built in for easy access, but we can also set up our own custom timeframe by selecting the custom date option from the dropdown:
Notice how the Start Date and End Date selectors can now be modified:
Also keep in mind that you can control the actual time for the report as well. For example, if you want you can easily look at your sales report for last weekend, but only during lunch time. Once you have selected your start date, end date and optionally the start time and end time, press the search button to actually display your requested information.
